We have known Elizabeth for many years, and used her services as a tour guide for the first time when had a few days to spend in the Highlands last year. We knew two days weren’t enough, but Elizabeth helped us create an itinerary that allowed us to make the best of our time, and to set our own pace. She picked us up at our B&B in the heart of Inverness each day after breakfast, and we arrived back in town for dinner. It was special to have a personal, personable and knowledgeable driver, who allowed us to completely relax and enjoy our time. We emailed her a list of ideas ahead of time. From those she suggested a mix of places to visit, from Scottish prehistory at Clava Cairns, to historical sites like Culloden Battlefield. Then off to the magical and stunning Glencoe. She took us to all the popular spots, but also to places off the beaten track, uncrowded and quiet. When we visited Croick Church we were overwhelmed by its tragic history. She also found for us delightful country pubs where we could sample real Scottish food. Elizabeth is a native Highlander, with a dry Scottish wit. She genuinely enjoys sharing her knowledge and affection for this beautiful country to her visitors. We can’t wait until our next trip. In the meantime, we highly recommend her services as a tour guide.
